Dr. Tahira Collier, PT, DPT, CSCS - earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California in 2006. Prior to that, she received her Bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where she studied exercise science and biomechanics by way of her major in Integrative Biology. Dr. Collier has focused her practice in outpatient physical therapy settings. She treats patients with primarily orthopedic dysfunction. She earned a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification in 2008; and in 2010 she completed the Comprehensive Pilates Certification for Rehabilitation through Polestar Pilates. This has allowed her to incorporate traditional strength training principles, along with Pilates methods to address patients' needs for rehabilitation and wellness. She has also completed various manual therapy and neuromuscular re-education courses that have helped patients optimize their recovery in physical therapy. Dr. Collier is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and the International Association of Dance Medicine (IADMS).
Noel Thomas has been a licensed physical therapist in the state Texas since 2007. He received his Bachelor of Physical Therapy degree in 2000 from India. He then earned his Masters and Graduate Certificate from the University of Queensland in Australia. Noel has practiced physical therapy in India, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He is a skilled manual therapist with experience in spinal and peripheral joint mobilization techniques and is a certified Dry Needling practitioner and is a Noel is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Abbie received her Bachelor of Physical Therapy degree with honors in 2000 from the Philippines and ranked Top 9 on the Philippine Physical Therapy licensure exam in 2001. Later, she received a Masters Degree Equivalency through further studies and accreditation from FCCPT in the US. Abbie is preparing to advance her knowledge through a doctoral program, in Physical Therapy, starting this fall of 2016. She practiced physical therapy in the Philippines for a year and a half, the United Kingdom for nine years, and has been working in the United States since 2011. She has a strong background in musculoskeletal outpatients and orthopedic cases. Abbie specializes in manual therapy and therapeutic exercise in spine and peripheral joints. She enjoys physical fitness activities like running, core exercises, and strength training and incorporates her knowledge on these activities to her patients for a successful therapy program.
Dr. Clay M. Ardoin PT, DPT, CSCS - A recent NY transplant earned his Doctorate degree at Ithaca College in 2015. Dr. Ardoin played four years of college football where he gained his passion for working with orthopedic injuries. He was inducted into the National Football Foundation Hall-of-Fame for Scholar Athletes at the end of his career. He earned his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification in 2012. His affinity for sports and orthopedics sent him on a journey to find an organization that would allow him to help people of all ages get back to the things that they love, such as, sports, jobs or just being functional in the community again. Premier Performance Physical Therapy was his place of choice as it paralleled his values of ethics, patient care, and evidence based treatments. Dr. Ardoin uses his manual therapy skills, teachings in physical therapy, continued studies in functional movement screening/assessments, as well as strength and conditioning, to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and returning to performance training or daily activities. Clay is a manual therapist that uses an eclectic approach that takes into account the body in its entirety to return patients to a higher level of function while educating his patients on how to avoid re-injury.
Pieter L. de Smidt, PT, DPT, Cert MDT, MTC, FMS-C, is a Physical Therapist with 28 years of clinical and management experience in orthopedic manual physical therapy. He specializes in treatment of the spine and sports-related injuries of the knee and shoulder, utilizing an evidence-based approach. After receiving his BS in Physical Therapy, in The Netherlands, he moved to the United States where he received his Manual Therapy Certification, from the University of St. Augustine, under Dr. Stanley Paris. He completed the Sports Therapy program with The North American Sports Medicine Institute and holds certifications in the McKenzie MDT method and Functional Movement Screening. Dr. de Smidt earned his Post-Professional DPT from The Evidence In Motion Institute for Health Sciences -with a focus on evidence-based management of musculoskeletal disorders. Dr. de Smidt is an instructor with Summit Education and teaches Physical Therapists about Manual Therapy and Evidence-Based treatment.
Cassandra Fournet received her Bachelor of Telecommunications degree with a Minor in Journalism in 2014 from Texas A&M University, in College Station, Texas. She has written for publications, such as, Houston Family Magazine and The Battalion. Cassandra is also proficient in Search Engine Optimization Blogging, B2B and B2C social media marketing, and she is currently working on her own blog. She can always be found tampering with the newest social media platform and using #hashtags.
Meredith Carey is involved with many aspects of the practice including marketing, patient relations, and administration. She is dedicated to ensuring quality care and customer service for every patient. She helps connect physicians and patients in order to provide an open communication and expectation policy.
Dr. Martin Grabois serves as the Medical Director for Premier Performance Physical Therapy. Dr. Grabois is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a sub specialty degree in pain management. Dr. Grabois served as Chair of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine for the past 25 years.
